Size Matters

Even though we know we have created great products, we want you to get the most enjoyment out of your candles, so here is some size advice...candle size that is!
What did you think we were referring to? No, this is not that type of blog...
As a general rule of thumb, candles should compliment the room size for best scent "throw". What is scent throw you ask? Scent throw by definition is the release of the fragrance from the candle and is classified as cold throw or hot throw. You guessed it, cold throw is the release of fragrance when the candle is unlit and the wax is solid whereas, hot throw is the release of fragrance when the candle is burning. Still with me? Ok...
Candles like ours that are 3 inches wide and 3.5 inches in height are recommended for small/average rooms such as bedrooms, bathrooms, entry ways and small offices. Larger candles are more ideal for larger rooms, open concept areas and spaces with vaulted ceilings. So the bigger the space the bigger the candle ......I know you'd catch on...
Many factors can affect the hot throw of a candle, the size of the room and any type of draft are the main culprits. Personally when I am testing a new scent, I turn off the fan & a/c in my bedroom,(don't ask, my husband likes to run both simultaneously)  light the candle and close my bedroom door. I keep going back to check on the scent throw and not to toot my own horn(toot, toot) but, with all the candles we have created, the hot throw tends to knock our socks off and I hope it does the same for you.
I hope you are enjoying your candle(s) & if you haven't purchased as yet, don't take my word for it, try them for yourselves.
....until next time.
